Hello,
I got the download and tried to get the template working. May be it is due to the lack of documentation, I can't figure the positions and how to get the icons in the Menu.
Basically I wasnt able to get my initial site look the same as your demo.
I had to remove my complete joomla installation, after I tried to install quickstart.
I purchased a silver copy of the Template. Did a fresh install of joomla.
Wanted to ask you for some direction before I proceed and try the install again.
Is there any document or step by step instructions to get the template working?
If not, can you put some thing together and send please?

Thanks

Hi

Do you setup quickstart package ? Does it work for you ?

You should setup quickstart package for testing demo, then you can compare the demo with your work to reproduce demo easier. It only depends on using CSS class (Module Class Suffix /Menu Class Suffix v.v.v.) to create module or menu.

Please check my attach files

Thank you, that is a quick response.
I installed your template first and then I was able to get the Menu (based on similar images as you attached, which were in the zip file). I couldnt get the icons show up and the "show case" was not showing 100% or full screen as you had in the demo.

Later, I copied quickstart to joomla folder. That messed my whole installation, as it said some thing about "Remove the installation folder".

I removed the complete instalation and started fresh now. I can give the domain and login details if you like.
What I would like to know is - How to install the quickstart package? Do I just unzip and copy the files to my joomla folder? I did that before, but then got the error.

Thanks again

I wasn't able to get the quickstart working. However, I installed the template (pro) version, K2 and ST Show case. I am able to build the menu with icons.

I need few more icons for my menu items. How would I add more icons so that I can map my menu's appropriately?

Something like Menu icon for
* volunteers
* Activities
* Sponsors
* Performances

Also, I want to make sure the icons are consistent with the icons that you used. Did you design your icons or used from some place?

I think it is a good template, but is taking a lot of time to figure out how to make changes and use as to our requirement. Some documentation would help for e.g.

* How to add new icons?
* How to adjust the widths ? I see few options in the template -but doesnt know right away on what they mean
* What are available positions? Some image with positions would help
* How to add a new item ?

Thanks

1. Setup Quickstart.
It is a custom joomla version, so you setup it like setup joomla but remember to check install sample data in the latest step.

2. To view the template positions, go to Template Manager and open the Options box, check to Enabled, then go to your site like as yourdomain.com?tp=1

3. You can change template dimensions via template options under the Dimensions tab.

4. To add new icons, you need to CSS for new icons. With BirdSign, each icons has different color and you can find it templates/st_birdsign/showcases/color-name/. So you can add new icons in images folder, and css in file css/color.css

5. The icons are design by our designer.

Thank you. I am making progress. Some more help needed
For promo-top-??? positions, promo-bottom-?? and for the module positions in the bottom and middle of your demo - can you post examples (with images)?

I am trying to understand what "css" you used and also the settings you used.

Example images for
* promo-top-??
* promo-bottom-??
* fotter-??
* for "from our blog in your example"
* for "recent works" in your example

Thanks again. May be all the images you sent so far will be very good documentation
