Hi,
Do you remember files that you have been using? If you do, you should backup these all files. Then, after updating free version to silver, you copy these file to their own old position.

If you don't, make a list of these file and give us, then we will indicate you.
Regards,
Jessica.

Sorry for beeing a bit difficult.

What exactly do you mean by "files" here?

I made a lot of articles.
I changed some modules.
I uploaded some pictures (for the slider and other articles).
I changed the logo in the "Images-file"
I tryed a change in the css-file, but nothing happend ;-)

Where do I backup these files? In joomla? In my webhosting-package?

I tryed a lot. What if I changed somethin and forgot it?

Hi,

#1 : you should backup your joomla and the database.

#2 : install the pro version of template (not install the quickstart package)

#3 : if you edited the "php" , "css", or "js" file, just copy the part that you have edited and paste them to the bottom of the corresponding file.

Best regards.
salem.

Thank you salem,

But you told me again the same, what I didn t understand . And again i have to ask the same questiuon. (I can not by the Licence until I understand how to do it)

As you probably noticed: I m not a Joomla-Professional. I am a dummy, who trys do build his own Internet-Site. I managed it somehow so far. But you should tell my exactly, what to do. So exactly means, with more than two words.

Someone says "backup your files." I asked what exactly do ypou mean by "files"?
You awnser "Backup your joomla database". But I still don t know what to do. Sorry.

Is there a Button in the Joomla-Backend "Backup your whole joomla here"? I havent found it.
Or does all this mean: go onto your webhost-platform, there must be a backup-funktion?
Or does it mean: use your FTP-Client and download evere File, related to your site from your Webhost-Platform.
Or does "files" and "database" mean a mysql-somewhat-database, that I can backup somewhere?

After having a fresh backup of my "files", and having downloadet the template silver licence.

How do I "install" this? Can I use the install-funktion of the backend of my site (Template-Manager). Or do I have to install it the way I installend the "Quickstart", using the ftp-Program?
In the same file as quickstart? Without deleting the former quickstart-installation?

After having installed the silver-Template, what next? What do I do, with the file/database I backupped?

As you see, I need some detailed steps...please.

Thank you for helping a dummy

OK, found a poaability to make complete backup with akeeba backup.
But the result is only one .jpa file.

Is this file useful, to restore the hgole Site, after installing the silver-version?
